Local musician Sam Rudin owns and operates the venue, which honors his vision to recreate the cozy ambience of the original Freight & Salvage. Rudin describes his venture as a small space (100 people max) with great acoustics and comfortable seating, that showcases the musicians with respect and appreciation.
This is a BYOB (for those 21+), all ages listening space dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. The venue is accessed via a short flight of stairs, and is wheelchair-accessible (there's a lift inside the front door).
Rootstock Arts is dedicated to fostering the development of artist collaboration, artist communities and cultures. We bring together diverse group of performers, presenters and appreciators of music and other performing arts, with a focus on sustainability and artist-centered values. We will continue to offer opportunities to present work, curate relevant programming and facilitate artist networking to our community.
